CSEREPES 2005, Harslevelu-Chardonnay, Cserepes vineyard

This is a blend of Harslevelu (60%) and Chardonnay (40%), both harvested in our Cserepes vineyard. Reflections of gold in the glass, its complex nose is redolent with penetrating character of quinces, loquats, ripe pears, peaches and accompanying fine minerality. Intense mouthfeel with ripe, lively flavors, accented by the classic mineral character of the parent Matra soil. The 7.7g residual sugar gently complements the balance between the wine's round acidity and its well matched alcohol. Served at 55-60ºF, this wine would be most enjoyable with hearty white meat courses, or even with a plate of oven-baked cholent.
